Public Notice

The Dickey County Board of Equalization will meet at 1:00 pm on June 1st in the County Courtroom at Ellendale. The cities will meet at 1:30 and the townships at 2:00 pm.

Assessors and representatives from each township and city should attend this meeting.

Any questions or matters may be brought before the County Board at their respective time.

A little about Dickey County...

Dickey County is located on the southern border of North Dakota and is comprised of 1152 square miles of land. The eastern part lies in the Drift Prairie, a green, hilly part of the state marked by good farm land and an abundance of water. Hwy 281 which runs north and south lies parallel to the hills which mark the beginning of the rolling Great Plains.

Department of Emergency Management

It is the responsibility of Dickey County to maintain an emergency management organization to serve the entire county.

Special Needs Registration
The Dickey County Office of Emergency Management is currently requesting a voluntary registration of all individuals with "Special Needs" in Dickey County. This information will be used in order to pre-identify those individuals who could not or would not be able evacuate on their own or would need special help or considerations in the event of having to be sheltered in one of our county emergency shelters.
